The WADI project 2003 - 2006

Arab and Dutch artists worked together in the polder and in the dessert. The project consisted of three digital video workshops and digital
presentations in the public space in The emirates and on several places in
the Netherlands.

The first workshop was held in Eindhoven (the Netherlands) in the summer of 2003. Participating artist were, from the Emirates, Abdullah Al Sa-adi and Khalil Abdulwahed. From Belgium, Philippe Tonnard and Patric Baele and from Holland, Koen Delaere.
Seven Arab artists participated in the second workshop, two female artists, Nuha and Nada Asad and five male artists, Khalil Abdulwahed, Ahmed Sharif, Mohammed Kazem, Fawaz Al-Otaibi and Abdulrahman. The Dutch artists were Dave Mink and Jérôme Siegelaer.

The third workshop was mainly held in Groningen (Holland) and Limburg
(Holland and Belgium) in the winter of 2004. Khali Abdulwahed and Ahmed
Sharif came over to Holland to join the workshop. The Dutch / Iraqi artist
Qassim Alseadi, completed the team.
